Foundation to Year Two
Talk & Tours meet a number of foundation to year two curriculum areas:
Explore ideas, experiences, observations and imagination to create visual artworks and design, including considering ideas in artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists (ACAVAM106)
Respond to visual artworks and consider where and why people make visual artworks;
- starting with visual artworks from Australia, including visual artworks of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples (ACAVAR109)
- including artworks by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, by describing subject matter and ideas (VCAA_1/2)
Suggested Talk &Tours
You Me and Our Gallery: an introduction to visiting a public gallery and the work on offer (30 to 45 minutes)
Curriculum Connections: Through in-depth analysis of a specific exhibition, theme or artist. Opportunity is given to consider and discuss the artworks, their cultural and social contexts, possible interpretations and meanings (60 minutes)
Artist workshops for Primary aged students: $80 per group
Self-guided tours: Exhibition tours are a great way to discover the exhibitions at Arts Space Wodonga independently and can be further enhanced by our education resources. If you’d like to visit independently with your school group, it’s really important that you book ahead so that we can accommodate you and make sure your needs are met.
